The Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Louisiana will upgrade its electronic case filing system (CM/ECF) to NextGen on July 26, 2021.

NextGen simplifies electronic filing by combining your CM/ECF and PACER accounts into a single Central Sign On account. Through the PACER website, filers will use one login and password to view documents and electronically file in all NextGen courts where they have permission to file.

In order to prepare for NextGen, filing users must complete a few preliminary steps.

Prepare for NextGen

NextGen requires each electronic filer to have his/her own individual PACER account.

If you do not already have an individual PACER account, create one.

If your firm is currently using a shared account to access PACER, they should set up a PACER Administrative Account to link individual accounts for centralized billing.

If you have a PACER account, log in and confirm that your account type is Upgraded PACER Account. If your account type is Legacy PACER Account, follow these instructions to upgrade your account.

Make sure you know your current login and password for Louisiana Middle District Bankruptcy Court's CM/ECF system. If you cannot log into your CM/ECF account, please contact the court for assistance.

After the Court Moves to NextGen

Link your current CM/ECF account to your PACER account. Step-by-step instructions will be provided. Linkage cannot take place until after the court has moved to NextGen.

Electronic filers will not be able to e-file until their CM/ECF account is linked to their upgrade individual PACER account.
