Introduction
In an effort to expand and simplify the process in which the Court communicates with our customers, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Louisiana will be moving to an electronic mail delivery service through GovDelivery. This service is only for court news and announcements, such as changes in local rules, fees or forms, court closures due to inclement weather, etc. You will still receive bankruptcy case notices from the Bankruptcy Noticing Center. We hope this new service will be of benefit to you.
Effective Date
July 1, 2015
Features and Benefits
The GovDelivery system will allow users to:
- · determine which types of communication they will receive from us or if they will receive any at all,
- · select to receive email notifications from other courts around the country, and
- · be informed with press releases and news, CM/ECF maintenance alerts, and emergency communications
Action Item
Please ensure that you receive the email message sent by the court today, as all future notifications will be sent through this new system; there will be no further direct emails sent by our court.
Important Disclaimer
You will be responsible for the administration of your GovDelivery account. If you remove your email address from the GovDelivery system completely, you will no longer receive communications from the Court regarding new forms, fees, rule changes, and other important information, and you will still be responsible for all information passed on through this service.
