  • March 2013
    Starting with the motions being reviewed for hearings set after April 1, 2013, any unopposed motions to lift stay containing requests for relief other than the lifting of the stay, the lifting of the co-debtor stay (if appropriate) and abandonment of the property (if properly noticed to the matrix) will be on the argument docket and will require appearance of counsel for the mover to explain why any other relief sought is appropriate. This other relief includes, but is not limited to, waiver of the 14-day waiting period provided in BR 4001(a)(3), that the stay relief continues and is binding upon conversion of the case, that the mover is authorized to amend its POC to state an unsecured deficiency and that the debtor/co-debtor may surrender the property to the mover voluntarily."


  • January 7, 2009
    Beginning January 7, 2008, the Clerk's office will begin issuing deficiencies for non-compliance with Local Rule 9013-4 - Certificate of Service.

    The Notice of Deficiency will be entered into the record of the case and linked to the document that does not comply. The electronic filer will receive an e-mail notification that the deficiency has been entered and has 5 days to comply with the deficiency. Failure to comply with the deficiency will result in the court's striking the document. Any questions regarding this new notice should be directed to the clerk's office - 225-346-3333. Thank you.

    Chapter 13 Hearings: Time Changes Relating to Matters Appearing on the Final Docket:
    Beginning February 4, 2009, matters appearing on the docket for 8:30 a.m., 10:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. will require an appearance by the parties. All other matters not requiring an appearance by the parties (NOA matters) will appear on the court's final hearing docket at 8:00 a.m. The chapter 13 trustee's motions to convert or dismiss cases will be scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Orders to Show Cause will be scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Questions should be referred to the clerk's office at 225-346-3333.
